*Memento Vivire*

Description

Memento Vivere reinterprets the traditional memento mori by shifting attention from death toward the urgency of fully living. Rather than treating mortality as a source of paralysis, the project frames life’s finitude as a call to intention, authenticity, and action in the present.

Through interactive wall installation and translucent hanging posters, the work invites viewers to reflect on what matters most and how awareness of time can transform daily existence.

  • “If today was my last-Echoes of Time”—Interactive Wall Installation.

    • "Echoes of Time” is an interactive wall that invites people to reflect on what truly matters through a powerful question: What would you do if this was your last day to live? Participants—teenagers, adults, and elderly seniors (jóvenes, adultos, la tercera edad)—respond using color-coded sections that visually distinguish each group. As contributions grow, the wall becomes a collective mosaic of thoughts, emotions, and priorities, revealing shared values and generational differences while encouraging introspection, connection, and meaningful conversations about life and time.

    “Layers of Time”—Hanging Poster Series.

    • “Layers of Time” is a series of three posters printed on translucent fabric, exploring time as both presence and urgency. Featuring images of three generations—a mother, a daughter, and a child—the work reflects the continuity and fragility of life. Overlaid with questions and phrases, each layer challenges viewers to confront how they inhabit the present. The transparency allows moments to overlap, symbolizing how time slips away, while urging an active awareness: stop waiting and fully live now.
