Project Information

The goal of this project was to create a kinetic typography video in Spanish that brings a hilarious and iconic scene from Shrek 2—the negotiation between the Gingerbread Man and Lord Farquaad—to life through motion and text. My objective was to go beyond simple subtitles by using the rhythm, emotion, and humor of the dialogue to animate the words themselves. I aimed to play with the transcript visually, using scale, placement, movement, and timing to emphasize jokes, convey character personality, and enhance the storytelling, making the viewer feel the argument through dynamic type.

This video is perfect for fans of animated films, design students, and anyone who loves creative motion graphics or a good dose of nostalgia. It appeals to Spanish-speaking audiences and bilingual viewers who appreciate seeing beloved scenes reimagined, as well as fellow motion designers interested in how typography can be used to express character and narrative in a fun, engaging way.
